The Western Sky project aimed to create a turf area for pets and games, a flagstone patio with a fire pit, and low-maintenance border gardens. We installed advanced sprinkler and irrigation systems to efficiently manage water use and support diverse plant life, reflecting our commitment to sustainable landscaping.
A Blend of Function and Sustainability
A standout feature of this project is the use of the native hop tree, a low-water small tree with an attractive form that adds a unique touch to the landscape. To provide instant screening from neighboring properties, we selected fast-growing large shrubs, ensuring privacy and a sense of enclosure. For the patio area, Pennsylvania blue flagstone was chosen for its durability and aesthetic appeal, with ground covers planted between the stones to soften the look and add greenery to the space.

To further enhance the sustainability of the Western Sky project, we opted for Enviroturf, a low-water turf blend that thrives on significantly less water than traditional bluegrass. This choice not only reduces water usage but also ensures a lush, green area for recreation and relaxation.
